Under contract

(from the jojos archive)

It's been a busy month. We sold our house to the first person who came to see it. Luckily before we listed with a realtor. We just got back from Pittsburgh where we walked through 22 houses in a day and a half with a realtor. That's not counting the ones we drove by and crossed off the list. Thank goodness Nonna came to help take care of Aiden. She spent a good bit of time sitting in the rental car with him while he napped and we went in and out of houses. Hours before getting on the plane yesterday morning we made an offer on one.
Negotiating back and forth via cell phone all day, we finally came to an agreement last night. Now we have our house in Chapel Hill under contract and one in Pittsburgh under contract. The house is really beautiful and we are excited to make it ours! Check out some pitures of it in the NEW HOUSE photo album. Don't forget to click the 'older' button on the bottom of the pages to see them all.

Busy guy

PICT0097.1115604196I haven't had time to post new entries because we are working like crazy on the house and yard before putting it on the market. I haven't posted new pictures of Aiden because HE NEVER SITS STILL! This boy is busy. So here are some blurry action shots.
I had a nice first mother's day. The boys went out and bought me tons of flowers this morning and Jon made me (dairy-free) waffles.

He stands 28 inches tall

(from the jojos archive)

Aiden has started handing things to me rather than just grabbing things out of my hands. Today he handed me a book so I read it to him and he seemed very pleased that he was able to communicate what he wanted.
He either has another cold or there are more teeth on the way. Tylenol is our friend. His naps were really messed up today because there were guys here powerwashing the house and washing the windows. I sympathize, it's hard to sleep with someone powerwashing your bedroom windows.
He is pulling up on everything and is not happy unless standing. Today I caught him trying to stick his head out the cat door. He also climbed up the two steps from our bedroom into the kitchen with no assistance. He is going to be a climber. I have started packing up our house and he loves to pull up on the boxes and try to climb on top of them. He stands up in his crib now if you leave him there too long after he wakes up.
