Sick again

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Aiden brought home a cold from Pittsburgh and then gave it to Jon and I. We are all coughing and sneezing and not sleeping much. In addition to being sick, Aiden is getting his first TOOTH! Oh, and this morning he pulled himself to standing on his toy box.

We have CRAWLING

Aiden is crawling with greater proficiency each day. He started army crawling (belly down) about four days ago, just barely making forward progress with a lot of grunting and complaining. Now he is scooting quite quickly with his belly still dragging. He has started going after the dog already. Tucker just stands there as Aiden approaches his feet and then looks at me like 'what is going on here?' and walks away. Today Aiden got up on his hands and knees a few times and did some rocking forward and backward so the 'real' crawling is probably just a few days away. We have taken some videos but Jon's computer is off getting fixed so we can't post them until we have his editing program.

Daffodils and Sunshine

What a beautiful spring day we had today! We got Aiden a 'sport' play yard that has a sun canopy. He hopefully will get used to sleeping in it this week in Pittsburgh. We did some major spring yard clean up today which felt really great. I realized it has been over a year since I've really done much digging in the dirt because this time last year I already had a big belly. We are traveling a lot this spring and this is just the beginning. Aiden and I are taking a trip to Madison, on to Fargo and then to Park Rapids (MN) in early April. Jon will have almost 2 weeks of quiet and sleep to help get his masters paper done.

When we chose AIDEN's name we had no idea that AIDAN was shaping up to be 2004's second most popular boys name. (actually it depends on which list you believe- but its in the top 50) At least we chose a slightly different spelling.

What a nice day it was today! We even got some yard work done.

Nonna

Nonna was here for a visit. She spent a lot of time cheering Aiden while he tried to crawl. Other than getting up on his knees a few times, he really crawling yet. He does manage to scoot around pretty well though and the last day or so its been mostly backwards. He pushes with his hands, looking over his shoulder to see where he is going.
I think we are finally all well here. Aiden got really sick from the antibiotics I was on for my sinus infection so I had to stop taking them after a few days. I think it cleared up anyway.
Jon got in to CMU so we are gearing up for a trip to Pittsburgh over spring break! We are still waiting to hear from U Mass.
